A laboratory at the heart of our factory

Seifel has an integrated testing laboratory at its production site, with three dedicated technical areas.

This facility enables us to conduct the investigative and qualification tests necessary to verify that our products meet our customers’ needs and comply with applicable standards.

The laboratory is run by a team of qualified technicians trained in standardized testing methods and the requirements of national and international certification bodies.

The laboratory is organized around 3 technical platforms equipped to perform all types of testing.

Electrical

For validating the electrical performance and safety of our products: heating tests, accelerated electrical aging, dielectric strength

Mecanical and environmental

For validating the mechanical strength and resistance of products to environmental stresses encountered during operation: IK impact, IP protection ratings, mechanical strength, climatic tests (heat, cold, humidity, saline fog)

For the characterization and qualification of synthetic materials used in our products, with a particular focus onfire behavior and thermal performance: UL94, glow wire, hot ball test…

Certifications

The facilities and procedures of the Seifel laboratory are recognized by certification bodies in the electrical sector.
As such, our laboratory is accredited according to the IEC 17025 standard. This recognition enables us to conduct reference tests for the qualification of our products.
