Supporting each solution from the design phase
Seifel maintains complete control over the entire product development cycle, from initial design through to qualification.
Our teams develop and qualify technical solutions for low-voltage electrical networks, incorporating requirements for performance, quality, and environmental sustainability.
Our R&D department brings together engineers and technicians specializing in mechanics, materials, and electrical engineering, all dedicated to developing our product lines. Our design process, which incorporates 3D modeling, numerical simulation, and prototyping, addresses environmental challenges through an eco-design approach.
Design: from sketch to prototype

3D modeling
Our design offices use software that enables detailed 3D modeling of products and design optimization from the earliest stages of projects. These tools cover the mechanical design of parts and assemblies, the sizing of electrical components, as well as the integration of sealing and protection features.
This digital approach facilitates design iterations and enables effective collaboration among different areas of expertise (mechanical, electrical, and materials).

Numerical simulation
Numerical simulation tools are used to analyze the mechanical, thermal, and electrical behavior of products, enabling performance optimization as early as the design phase and thereby accelerating development cycles.

Prototyping
Our prototyping workshop enables the rapid production of mock-ups and functional prototypes, facilitating the validation of technical choices under real-world conditions before moving to the industrialization phase.
Synthetic materials division
Seifel has recognized expertise in the processing of synthetic materials.
We have a dedicated synthetic materials division that develops and optimizes the polymer formulations used in our products, from the selection of raw materials and the identification of processing methods (injection, extrusion, compression…) to providing support to customers on technical, regulatory, and environmental issues.

Eco-design
Seifel integrates environmental issues right from the design phase of its products through a structured eco-design approach.
The teams conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to quantify environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle. These assessments guide design decisions: material selection, weight optimization, design for easy disassembly, and end-of-life recovery.
A dedicated department develops Product Environmental Declarations (PEDs), enabling us to transparently communicate the environmental performance of our products to our customers.
