LOM Act: Seifel expands its range

27.03.2024

In response to the LOM Act (French Mobility Orientation Act of 11 March 2021), which stipulates that car parks in new buildings must be pre-fitted with EV charging infrastructure (IRVE), Seifel has secured several contracts with Enedis. “We are now ramping up production of protective sectioning units for multiple columns (SPCM), which provide fuse protection for the car park or the charging points’ power supply,” explains Maxime Lerouzic, Product Line Manager at Seifel. Furthermore, a long-standing product from the subsidiary is making a comeback: the modular plastic enclosure. The enclosures will be assembled from panels manufactured using plastic extrusion. “This will give our workshop a real boost; we’re diversifying,” says Maxime, who helped develop in-house software to size the columns to Enedis’ specifications, working with teams from Seifel and Sicame Group Innovation. Our aim is to reach a production rate of 60 enclosures per month in this new market segment we’re looking to capture.
